Recording a typical walk on a winter's afternoon and bringing those experiences back in the studio to combine and construct the fragments of that encounter into a body of work, is the focus of my practice.
Drawing and mapping the invisible lines of connections as well as the familiar rural topography I use a lithographic print making process, also the materials of rural farm buildings, cement, to generate subtle shifts of meaning generated by the process of reproduction and translation. My work is experiential, in that it invites the viewer to walk around and see the work from different perspectives, and encounter fragments of the constructed 'landscape', combining these processes into an installation using video and sound, to reflect my experience of 'landscape".
